Hi, I’m Jay Yang.

I’m a writer and content strategist who believes you don’t need permission to create your own opportunities.

When I was 17, I cold-emailed Tyler Denk, CEO of beehiiv, pitching ideas on how I could help. That email turned into an internship where I built beehiiv 101—a course designed to help users unlock and maximize the platform’s potential.

At 18, I sent Noah Kagan, founder of AppSumo, a 19-page pitch deck identifying gaps in his social media and email marketing—and solutions to fill them. That landed me a role as Head of Content, where I spearheaded campaigns like the marketing push that made Million Dollar Weekend a New York Times bestseller.

Today, I run a content marketing agency that helps established entrepreneurs scale their brands, grow their audiences, and market their products effectively.

When I’m not working, you’ll usually find me on the court playing pickup basketball at the local gym, working out, or spending time with family and friends.

I started this blog in 2021 to document my journey and share the lessons I’ve learned along the way. Here, you’ll find insights on marketing, strategy, and navigating the challenges of building a freedom-first internet business.

If you’re looking to grow your brand, accelerate your career, or think differently about success, I’d love for you to join my weekly newsletter. Just sign up below and I look forward to chatting!
